Q 2: Create a Lesson plan for a subject of a class from 1 to 8. Select topic and subject of your own choice.
Follow the lesson plan format given below: (10 Marks)
1. Subject : Social Studies
2. Topic : World Climate
3. Grade level : 5
4. Instructional objectives (use an action verb in a description of a measurable outcome)
By the end of this lesson students will be able to learn about.
• Climate
• Effects of climate
• Temperature
• The climate of Pakistan
• Amount of rainfall
• Direction and frequency of winds
• Water vapour (humidity)
5. Rationale (brief justification -- why you feel the students need to learn this topic)
• The students need to learn this in order to gain knowledge about climate , how does it change and what are the effects of climate.
• They will be able to understand the difference between weather and climate which is very important.
• As we use the words climate and weather in our daily life so it is very much important to provide information about these factors to the students.
6. Resources (what you will need in order to teach this lesson)
Resources that I will need in order to teach this lesson is.
• Board marker
• White board
• A small flag ( for activity, students would be able to understand the direction of the wind)
• Visual aid.
• World map ( to show the major climatic zones of the world)
7. Procedure
a. Focusing event (something to get the students' attention)
• In order to teach this lesson and to get student's attention I need to create groups among students and create discussions and activities among them.
b. Teaching procedures (methods you will use)
• I will use teaching method and discussion method.
c. Formative check (progress checks throughout the lesson)
• For progress check I can ask questions to the students about climate, weather, climate effects, temperature.
• By taking quiz and tests.
d. Student Participation (how you will get the students to
participate)
• To make groups among students.
• By asking them to make a wall chart in the class room and to record the daily temperature and rainfall for a month.
• By putting up a small flag and to note down the direction from which the wind blows.
e. Closure (how you will end the lesson)
• By asking the questions to the students that what they learnt from this lesson and if they would be able to tell the difference between climate and weather so that means they had learnt the basic information of this lesson.
8. Assignment or Homework
• In knowledge level of learning we ask the students to learn the descriptive answer at home and to make them learn objectives in class room.

9. Assessment
• Assessments are important to check whether students learned the lesson or not.
• Asking questions in the assessment in the form of descriptive, brief, blanks, true or false, matching and guessing.
10. Time allotted
• 80 minutes.
