Question No. 1                                                                                                           10 marks

The data sheet of a Quad two-input AND gate IC type 74LS08 specifies the propagation delay and power supply parameters as:

VCC = 5.0V                                                          ICCH = 19 mA

ICCL = 35 mA                                                        tPLH = 4 ns

tPHL = 5 ns                                                            VOH = 2.7 V

VIH = 2 V                                                              VIL = 0.8 V

VOL = 0.5 V

a)      Determine the speed–power product specification.

b)      The HIGH state noise margin.

c)      The LOW state noise margin.

Question No. 2                                                                                                           10 marks

Simplify the given expression to its Sum of Product (SOP) form using Boolean algebra and also draw the logic circuit diagram for that simplified expression.

X= (A+B) (A+) C+ (B+) + B+ABC
